Do This One Thing if you Hate Exercise
So you hate exercise, I get it. You hate being uncomfortable, you hate sweating, you hate having to wash your hair everyday, totally understandable. For some people exercise just isn't their thing, never has been and doesn't feel like it ever will be. I may have something that will work for someone like you, it will keep you in shape with little effort.
Did you know that walking can be a very effective form of exercise? YES! This is especially true for people who are not accustomed exercise. Walking is something that most of us do or can do everyday. According to the American Heart Association:
Research has shown that walking at least 30 minutes a day can help you:
Reduce your risk of coronary heart disease and stroke
Improve your blood pressure, blood sugar levels and blood lipid profile
Maintain your body weight and lower the risk of obesity
Enhance your mental well-being
Reduce your risk of osteoporosis
Reduce your risk of breast and colon cancer
Reduce your risk of non-insulin dependent (type 2) diabetes
Just about everyone can fit 3o minutes in their day to take a walk. You normally don't get very sweaty when walking and it doesn't have to be anything formal you can do it anytime and anywhere.
To be honest, I don't always feel like exercising and on days when I don't, I walk. This can be walking around my office at work, or on the treadmill or trail. There is nothing wrong with replacing your regular exercise routine with a walk when you just aren't feeling it.
If you are someone who hates exercise, just think, with walking all you have to do it put on your shoes and go. I challenge you to try walking for 30 minutes a day for the next few weeks, I believe you might begin to enjoy it. Who knows, walking might turn into jogging, then running and eventually another form of exercise.
Have a fit day everyone!
