I don't know about you, but I always have my phone with me. If not in my hand it's near by, this includes when I workout or go to the gym. Smartphones have literally changed the game for us in every way. Being the fitness enthusiast that I am, my phone has a load of fitness apps on it and today I want to share with you my 6 Fitness Apps You Should Have on Your Smartphone. bonus they are free!

6 Fitness Apps You Should Have on Your Smartphone IVANNAMARIE.COM

+ Nike Training Club

This is literally the best app I have ever downloaded. It has a ton of workouts and even features some professional athlete workouts. This app is one that I recommend to everyone. With the Nike + Training Club App, you can choose your goal (get lean, get toned, get strong and so on) and the app will pull up a list of workouts to choose from that will help you reach that goal.

You can choose to do a full body workout or choose which specific areas you want to workout. You can also choose the amount of time that you have to dedicate to working out. The app will populate a list of routines for you that can be completed in that timeframe. I love this app, I use it whenever I don't feel like thinking of a workout, but I know I want to do something.

+ My Fitness Pal

I know just about everyone has heard of myfitnesspal and most people already have it on their phones. This app is great for tracking calories, food, macro and micro nutrients and more. This app even allows you to add friends and blog about your fitness journey.

The myfitnesspal app has helped many people to achieve success on their weight loss journeys. I highly suggest it for anyone wanting to lose weight or simply wants to have a way to periodically track what they are eating and their workouts to help them stay on track.

+ GYMBOSS Interval Trainer

I use the GYMBOSS Interval Trainer app every day, especially since I have been doing the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide. The app has pretty much taken the place of a regular stop watch in my opinion. You can purchase the physical timer but I think the app works better for me. You can set circuit timers, rest times and more. I love this app and I think it's one that is worth having for everyone no matter what your sport of choice.

I love having the app on my phone because it allows me to easily search for races and active events going on in my local area. It allows you to search by category and type of activity. You can also search for the distance of the races you are looking for and modify the app to only search for certain time frames.

+ Nike Running Club

Last but certainly not least is the Nike + Running app. I use this app to track every run and I love that I am motivated through the Nike Running community. The Nike Running app is the simplest running app I have personally found to use. The community of users is huge which is a big plus for me. This app tracks your milestones and history so you can see your progress over time.

I link to the app using my Nike Sports Watch but you can use your phone itself to track your runs or walks also with this app. I have tried other running apps but I always return to this one.

Honorable Mention, The SWEAT app by Kayla Itsines. Now this app isn't free it's $19.99 month but it's very user friendly and has several workouts to choose from. I've been doing BBG for a long time and this app makes getting my workouts done easier. You even get videos of how the exercises are done.
