My Manitou Incline Experience

manitou incline

This weekend I completed one of my New Years Resolutions. I also completed one of the most difficult hikes I have ever done. My husband and I hiked the Manitou Incline in Manitou Springs Colorado. The Manitou Incline is a 1 mile hike, but climbs 2,000 vertical feet. This doesn't include the down climb. This hike was amazing and very challenging at the same time.

Climbing the Manitou Incline literally took all of my mental and physical strength. Honestly, there were times during the climb that I didn't know if I'd make it, but pure will power, faith and prayer kept me going. I'm glad I had my husband there with me and cheering me on.

I know If it wasn't for good health and good nutrition I probably wouldn't have made it. Nutrition plays a integral role in our bodies being able to function to their fullest potentials.

Before heading out to the Manitou Incline I had a huge smoothie made with with Amazing Grass Protein SuperFood and also a nutrition bar. I didn't want to go out with a super full belly but the Amazing Grass Protein SuperFood Smoothie and bar was just enough.

Amazing Grass Protein Superfood contains a blend of USDA Organic pea, hemp, chia and quinoa, delivering 20g of complete plant-based protein per serving. It also has 7 alkalizing organic greens and two-full servings of fruits and veggies. I like that it is grain free and paleo friendly.

This protein has been helping me get in my protein and veggie requirements for the last few weeks. I won't hesitate in saying it is my new favorite plant based protein powder. I have been using it on a daily basis since being sent it to try out.

Once I completed the Manitou Incline I felt like I could cry and I also felt like I could do anything I put my mind too I truly did feel amazing.
